Proven International Experience
Our first manufacturing plant was in Auckland New Zealand in 1998 and in 2001, we introduced light gauge steel framing manufacture into the United States with a manufacturing plant established in Orlando, Florida.
Development of hurricane-resistant steel framing systems expanded operations across:
Southern Florida
Georgia
Alabama
The Bahamas
Our steel framing systems were selected to support redevelopment projects following Hurricane Katrina, including projects associated with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and military installations.
Modular housing manufactured in Orlando was shipped internationally for deployment in the Bahamas, including projects at New Providence, Grand Bahama and Eleuthera.
This experience shaped the engineering principles that underpin today’s STEELFAST machinery and modular systems.
OUR EXPERIENCE
From Framing Systems to Integrated Modular Manufacturing
Following decades of steel framing manufacture, development continued in Australia.
2021
Operations consolidated in Queensland, remaining fully Australian family owned.
2022
A new generation rollformer was brought online to manufacture the steel flooring system then known as MODFLOOR.
2024
First MODFLOORPLUS chassis released with manufacturing established at Stapylton, Queensland.
Today, under the MMC Modular banner, MODFLOORPLUS and associated systems are manufactured using the STEELFAST SFT300 rollformer.
